Dye sublimation printing, also known as the sublimation process, is a popular method for printing vibrant, long-lasting images onto fabric. The process involves turning dye into gas using heat, which then permeates the fabric and becomes part of the material itself. This technique ensures that colors stay vibrant over time, even with exposure to the elements.

Sublimation fabric refers to any fabric that is compatible with the dye sublimation process. Not all fabrics can be used for sublimation — the dye must be able to bond with the material at a molecular level. For this reason, sublimation works best with polyester or polyester blends.
